Support the campaign.

Campaign contributions pay for the material a municipal campaign needs to reach voters: yard signs, printed literature, the domain and hosting fees for this site, event supplies, and food for the volunteer sessions where the door-knocking lists get built and the calls get made. Every contribution goes directly to campaign expenses, and the campaign’s financial agent tracks and reports every dollar to Elections BC under the Local Elections Campaign Financing Act.

Contribution rules

Who can contribute: Individuals ordinarily resident in British Columbia who are Canadian citizens or permanent residents. Contributions from corporations, unions, and other organizations are prohibited under provincial law. Contributions from individuals who are not BC residents are also prohibited.

2026 contribution limit: $1,429.70 per contributor to this campaign for the calendar year.

Public disclosure: If your donations to this campaign total $100 or more, Elections BC publishes your name and contribution amounts. This includes multiple smaller donations that together reach $100. All donations must be recorded, including those below this threshold.

Anonymous contributions: Only permitted in amounts of $50 or less, and only when genuinely anonymous (e.g., cash in a donation box at an event). Any contribution above $50 must be identified.

Tax receipts: Contributions to municipal campaigns in British Columbia are not eligible for tax receipts. The campaign will confirm receipt of your contribution for your records.

In-kind contributions: Donated goods or services (printing at cost, use of office space, professional services below market rate) count as contributions at their market value, and are subject to the same limit and rules. Contact the campaign before making an in-kind contribution.

Questions on eligibility, limits, or reporting should be directed to Linda Hicks, the campaign’s financial agent, at team.masselink@gmail.com.
